FA100-2.2G-S2 variable frequency drive (VFD) is a type of motor controller that drives an electric motor by changing the frequency and voltage of its power supply. VFD can be used to control the speed of an AC motor by changing the frequency of the motor without sacrificing the output power of the motor. This is done by turning the speed pot of an AC motor drive (explained in Chapter Three).
